Maharani Freeport

Maharani Freeport

At the Strait of Malacca. For the World. Freeport Authority, Port Owner, and Port Operator. Streamlining maritime, industrial, and investment activities under one ecosystem.

Our Projects

Maharani Freeport is Malaysia's first duty-exempted energy freeport, developed to position the nation as a competitive hub for global energy trade and maritime services. Located within the Muar Port limits along the Strait of Malacca, one of the world's busiest oil shipping routes, Maharani Freeport provides natural deep-water access exceeding 24 metres in depth, enabling operations for Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs).

Why Muar?

Natural Advantages

Naturally deep waters exceeding 24 metres in depth

Suitable for VLCCs

Protected coastal conditions

No adverse seismic phenomena

Year-round operational stability

Reduced congestion pressures

Ideal For

Deep seaport: oil and gas terminal
Floating terminal
Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer
Floating storage
Shipyard: ship building, repair and maintenance
General anchorage
